Privacy Policy

1. Who We Are
Musondosi is operated by MistNex Dynamics (Private) Limited, a company incorporated in Zimbabwe.
We run Zimbabwe's trusted vehicle marketplace at musondosi.co.zw and through our
mobile application available on Google Play.

2. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of personal information:
- Account data: name, email address, phone number, password (hashed)
- Listing data: vehicle details, photos, pricing, location you choose to share
- Communications: messages exchanged between buyers and sellers on our platform
- Usage data: pages viewed, searches performed, listings saved, time spent in-app
- Device data: device type, OS version, FCM token for push notifications
- Location data: city/province selected when posting a listing (we do not collect GPS location)
- Payment data: subscription payment references (we do not store full card details)
3. How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your account
- To publish and manage vehicle listings on your behalf
- To connect buyers and sellers through our in-app messaging
- To send push notifications about listings you've saved (price changes, sold status)
- To process subscription payments and track plan usage
- To detect and prevent fraud and abuse
- To improve app performance and user experience through analytics
- To respond to support requests and account deletion requests
4. Sharing Your Information
We do not sell your personal data. We may share data with:
- Other users: your public listing information (vehicle details, city, seller name) is visible to all users
- Firebase (Google): for push notification delivery via FCM
- Payment processors: for handling subscription payments
- Hosting providers: our servers are hosted on cloud infrastructure in an appropriate jurisdiction
- Law enforcement: where required by Zimbabwean law or a valid court order
5. Data Retention
- Active account data is retained while your account exists
- Expired listings are archived and removed from public view after 60 days
- After account deletion, personal data is removed within 30 days from live systems and within 90 days from encrypted backups
- Aggregated, anonymised analytics data may be retained indefinitely
6. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate information in your profile
- Delete your account and associated personal data — see our Delete Account page
- Opt out of marketing communications at any time
- Withdraw consent for push notifications via your device settings

7. Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption, hashed passwords,
JWT authentication with token rotation, and access controls on our servers.
No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure; we encourage you to use a strong
password and keep your login credentials private.
8. Children's Privacy
Musondosi is not directed at children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal
information from minors. If you believe a minor has created an account, please contact us at
privacy@musondosi.co.zw and we will remove the account promptly.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will
notify you via the app or by email. Continued use of Musondosi after changes are posted constitutes
your acceptance of the updated policy.
